No worries, we're here to help you understand a little more about this type of hair, as we want you to make the right choice when purchasing your extensions.

Raw Vietnamese hair is known as the luxurious dark and thick tresses. This hair is mainly sourced from a Southeast Asian country that is directly from Vietnam. It is taken from a donor's head, followed by a cleanse, and then made into wefts, tapes or wigs. Women living in Vietnam are known to follow a simple lifestyle, which in turn reflects in the quality of their hair. Their dietary intake is full of vitamins and minerals. Some people are under the misconception that it is easy to style the raw hair of this texture, so let's go into further details.

CHARACTERISTICS AND FEATURES OF VIETNAMESE HAIR

Vietnamese hair is taken mostly from the villagers living in high mountains where their hair doesn’t affect the sunlight making it strong and silky. 80% of the hair is taken from women aged 18-25.

The main reason why Vietnamese hair is preferred is due to its superior quality. In Vietnam, women rarely straighten or process their hair. Additionally, they make it a priority to maintain it. Many women in the country grow their hair in order to be sold in long lengths that are 30 inches or above. Though Vietnamese hair does not have as much luster as Brazilian hair still, they are very thick, soft, and silky.

MAINTAINING VIETNAMESE HAIR

Hair must be washed every1-2 weeks.

Apply a moisturizing conditioner after shampooing your hair, and a deep conditioner every 2 to 4 weeks.

Because the Vietnamese raw hair is made of 100% human hair, it will positively react to deep conditioning, fix the follicle and also recover the level of smoothness and shine.

Use a heat Protectant when applying heat.

GRADES OF VIETNAMESE HAIR

Unlike Chinese hair factories, Vietnam vendors don’t separate their hair into A8, A9, or A10 grade. They divide hair into three grades: single drawn hair, double drawn hair, and super double drawn hair. Some of the factories even use the 4th grade also known as single-donor hair. These grades differ in the quality and length of the hair.

  • Single Drawn Hair: Single Drawn hair means the extensions contain multiple lengths of hair mixed into the extensions, resulting in hair that is thickest at the top, tapers at the middle and is thin on the ends. In this grade, 40-45% of the hair is of the same length, and the rest is the mixed length. This hair comes from multiple donors.

  • Double Drawn Hair: Double drawn hair contains hair that is all the same length. The hair is thick and full from top to bottom. For the double drawn hair, 60-65% hair is of the same length, and the rest 40-35% is of mixed length. This hair also comes from multiple donors, but not as much as single drawn hair.

  • Super Double Drawn Hair: Super Drawn hair is the second best quality hair type. This grade has 80-85% of the same length's hair, and the leftover is of mixed length. The number of short hairs is very small, so the thickness of the top part of the hair compared to the ends is equal.

  • Single-Donor Hair: Single donor hair basically refers to the hair in which the weft is completely consistent and sourced from one individual donor. All of the hair on each weft or tape is obtained from one single person. This type of hair is of superior quality because all strands are uniform, alike, and picked from selected donors.
